Review: The movie Lionheart

Reviews: The movie Lionheart

The title of movie title is Lionheart. The screen duration was 94 mins. Directed by Genevieve Nnaji. The casts include: Genevieve Nnaji, Nkem Owoh, Pete Edochie, Onyeka Onwenu. In the year 2018 this movie was released. English and Igbo languages were used in the movie.

This movie has been on the lips of many. Genevieve Nnaji’s directorial proficiency has changed the outlook of Bollywood entirely through the movie; Lionheart

But, this is not what makes this movie special. Genevieve’s fans have rated this film a hit amidst the controversies. The movie was tightly scripted.

Notwithstanding,  against what  average Nollywood movie buff might think, Genevieve is not the star of Lionheart but the brain and heart of the movie that  arrived Netflix that weekend.

Sincerely, the international audience saw Nigeria in a different light and not what is generally portrayed in Nollywood.

How did Genevieve manage to gather the names used in the movie? The sweetest name I heard was”OBIAGU”

Sincerely, the international audience saw Nigeria in a different light and not what is generally portrayed in Nollywood.

Genevieve’s influence was announced in the movie “ADAEZE” In the story about a daughter who needed to find a way to work alongside her uncle to save her father’s ailing Bus Company. So rich a story full of values.

Adaeze trying to ask a mob of her father’s transport company. We all know running a transport company isn’t something easy for a lady. Adaeze picks a challenge to stand in when her father( Chief Obiagu) was ill. Chief Obiagu appointed his crude brother Gods will to assist her run the company, this lead to fun filled moments for the viewers.

The plot and setting of the movie is so beautiful. The locations used in Kano and Enugu were nice choices. Igbo and Hausa culture was portrayed and truly the beauty of culture in diversity was felt. Most of the communication were done in Igbo yet non Igbos got the message clearly. The only flaw I observed, I didn’t like the not speaking  Chika Okapala was given.

Above all, it has also made it’s way to the top as the first Nigerian movie to be acquired by NETFLIX.  Of course, this alone is a big plus. This is not actually the most interesting part of it. You can view the trailer

What do you think about Lion heart?
