Have you tasted plantain cake before?


It’s been long I posted an article on the food label. Surfing the internet and visiting other blogs as usual. I saw this mouth watery plaintain cake on a lifestyle blog authored by Esther Adeniyi.

It’s easy and affordable. I thought it would be nice to share with my viewers. I’ve got a kind heart Kai! 😄

First the ingredients are as follows:


Plantain (2 ripe ones)
Eggs (2)
Milk (half tin)
Baking soda
Salt  (a pinch)


1. Preheat the oven

2. Dice plantains into a blender. Add the milk and eggs and a pinch of salt, add baking soda.

3. Blend together until you have a smooth puree. Mash and whisk to get a fine batter.

4. Grease the baking pan with butter.

5. Pour the batter into the baking pan and place in the oven.

6. To know if it’s done, insert a toothpick into the cake. It’s done if your toothpick comes out with no trace of the batter. It should come out clean.

7. You are done with your plantain cake.
Yea! It’s that easy..
